Our Clinical Staff

At SC4i, our staff gets it!  We are First Responders or family members, so we can quickly assess your challenges and spend more time focusing on your healing journey needs.

Amber Lee, MS, Law Enforcement Officer

I am a former law enforcement investigator with 9 years of experience. I worked in my hometown county serving and protection the people I grew up with and around during that time and I loved every minute of it. However, like as many of us first responders, the tolls of the job began to weigh on my body and my mind. In 2020, I found myself seeking out help for my PTSD from those “career killer calls”. In that search I came in contact with SC4i. I started as a client much like many do. Sitting in the couch scared of what may be said or how it may be perceived. What I found was understanding, support, and encouragement to make it through the struggles I was facing. I was able to make connections through group therapy and realize that I am not alone and not the only one carrying these weights; both in my work and personal life. With these connections I found myself wanting to help others like me; to keep boots on the ground; and remind others they are not alone. That is when I went for my Masters of Science in Military and Emergency Responder Psychology. During that course I was able to transition from a client to a student and into an intern with SC4i. I continue to keep boots on the ground through my part time work with SC4i, while also still working with the courts in my hometown county. My goal is to continue to help others and bring as much awareness and acceptance as possible to those out there protecting and serving.

James Alley, Intern, Paramedic/Firefighter

I am married to an amazing woman, who is a teacher at a local elementary school, and we have 3 wonderful kids. I currently work at Fountain Fire Department as a driver/engineer. I have previously worked with AMR as an EMT, and Paramedic. I was also a fixed wing paramedic for a short number of years. Unfortunately, a few years ago I had some pretty difficult calls. I needed to talk to someone. The first individual that I went to had no idea what first responders were about, didn’t know how to empathize, and it was a horrible experience. It wasn’t until months later that I found SC4i, I decided to give it one more chance. The individual that I met with was a previous first responder, a paramedic and they had “been there, done that.” It made all the difference in the world to me to talk to someone who understood what it was like being a first responder. This shift made a world of difference in both my work life, and my personal life. I returned to school, and am working on my Master’s in Military and Emergency Responding Psychology. One of the biggest things that I would like to work towards is getting rid of the Stigma, that IT IS ok for first responders to ask for and seek out help, and that it IS NOT a weakness.
