Counseling

Healing the invisible wounds of the frontline.

SC4i's counseling program helps first responders and their families work through the weight of the job, individually and together. Delivered by clinicians who understand the culture from the inside, this is where the noise of trauma gets quieted, and where peace starts to feel possible again, supported by a connected network of family and peers along the way.

Clinical staff supervised by a licensed psychologist.

Education & Information

Transforming how first responders approach mental fitness.

There's a myth that asking for help is a sign of weakness. SC4i exists to prove the opposite. Through community education, training, and informative resources, SC4i helps first responders and their departments understand that real strength isn't enduring in silence, it's having the courage to reach out and stay connected to the people around them. Every workshop, every resource, every conversation is one more step toward crushing the stigma that keeps first responders from getting the support they've earned.

Training for departments and peers

  • Peer Support Training

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

  • Mental Health First Aid

  • Prepare/Enrich Facilitator training

Workshops

  • Mental Wellness and Resilience workshops

  • Stress Management

  • Psychoeducation

  • Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University

Renewing Purpose

FR-TAP & Scholarship

Finding what's next after public safety.

Leaving the job that once defined you doesn't have to mean losing your purpose. Through the First Responder Transition Assistance Program (FR-TAP), SC4i walks beside first responders as they navigate life after service, staying connected through career guidance, continued mental health support, and family inclusion every step of the way. And for those ready to turn their experience into a new mission, the First Responder to Counselor Scholarship offers a path to become the peer-informed clinicians who stay connected to the community they once served. One chapter of service ends. Another begins.

CLIENT TESTIMONY

"After putting off therapy and help for multiple years a friend told me to come here to get the help I needed. I was treated with respect, honesty, and professionalism. After multiple appointments my family and even close friends said that I was no longer checked out and was back to the person they knew years ago. The hardest part of the process is making that first appointment but after that first appointment the healing truly begins."
